REGIONALS

The term speciality coffee refers to the highest quality green coffee beans roasted to their greatest flavour potential by true craft people and then properly brewed to well-established SCAA developed standards. These are our regionals! Speciality coffee in the green bean state can be defined as a coffee that has no defects and has a distinctive characters in the cup, with a score of 84 or above when graded according to SCAA Standard.

MICROLOTS

A very small lot from a single farm that has been deliberately set a side from other coffees because it has a top-notch, 86+ cupping score.

Most micro-lots come from a single farmer, but they can also be the “cream of the crop” from an estate or cooperative.

Those coffees are unique, fully traceable and have a compelling story to tell. They are available only in small quantities, and consequently cost more than regular speciality coffee. When purchasing these coffees we pay the grower(s) directly, at prices from one and half to three times the going market rate, in order to encourage them to continue making the effort to produce such green coffee gems.
